Making pragmatic and elegant code co-exist

About me in random orders

  • I love to program in Python and JavaScript in my spare time.
  • I program in C#, WPF, SSIS in my day job, and I'll try to blog about them occasionally.
  • I love the JavaScript framework Mootools and have used it for most of everything I do.
  • I love AppEngine.
  • I still love to program in Java.
  • I always love to program in C++, my first language. Pointers and memory leaks do not intimidate me.
  • I wish to learn more about Ruby and RubyOnRails, but have no time for them.
  • Likewise, I need to learn jQuery sooner than later. I know it's very good.
  • I do not like to program in Visual Basic, even if I get paid to, not even to do WPF.
  • XML and HTML are not programming languages. Note to recruiters: please update your application forms.
  • My challenge is I need to better market what I've built. No one seems to know I exist :-(
  • I need to write my blogs more often, and that means I might potentially receive more negative feedbacks and criticism.
  • And I need to learn to think on my feet faster and handle the pressure better.
  • I do all my work on an old Dell Inspiron 600m, running Ubuntu always with the latest updates.
